STEP files for Marble

The step files appear to be saved in ${CERN}... where do I find this library? For a mechanical design the step files are needed for the cut outs of the connectors.

I attached a step model of marble.
We can use CERN 3D models, but it isn't easy to integrate models into the project. Opening the project on each new machine requires adding a path to the models ($(CERN)..).
In KiCad 9, we can integrate models into the PCB file, but I have not tested it yet.

Once any licensing questions are cleared up, I think I can help with the technical integration. Maybe keep the model files in a separate repository (as git submodule) and/or compress them once we can depend on KiCad >=7.

Hello Michal,

Many thanks for the model... however the individual step files would be better. The way I do it for my Kicad project is to add the files locally. For example for this project here:

I added the datasheet files as follows:

... and the step files:

The project is therefore self contained and copying the folder gives you all the info the developer had during his work, but without the troubles caused by internet links changing or discontinued components causing information gaps.

If you like I would port the project the way I do it and if you think this is a good idea then you could load it to your official git repo.
