How do i acces classes that are in source

I wanna acces class MenuItem in StoryMenuState (i mean change variables and stuff) but i dont know how. Can someone explain? I dont really want to ask a lot of questions later, so tell me if it`s a haxeflixel thing or is it an engine thing.

you cant directly have a script with a MenuItem parent so you either make a custom class or edit the MenuItem objects from outside

ofc after youre done making the custom class, you gotta override with the new custom class the objects that are MenuItems

if all of this is too hard, just, edit the variables that are MenuItems from outside through a normal script one by one

the problem is that if i wanna change the y of menuitem like
for (i => menuItem in weekSprites.members) {
menuItem.y = 100;
}
the y goes back to the original point because MenuItem class has
y = CoolUtil.fpsLerp(y, (targetY * 120) + 480, 0.17);
is there a way i can change targetН without making a custom class?
if there isn`t i need to create a script data/scripts/MenuItem.hx and write
class MenuItem extends FlxSprite {
var targetY = 100;
}
or smth right?

nono, its not buggy, its just that the position of those get updated after update() but before postUpdate()
so if you change the position after the game does it, the game will display your positions
