I realize we haven't finalized any methods or frameworks yet, but I'm wondering how we would get the location data. So I thought we could discuss this and perhaps that would point us in a direction on the other stuff. For instance, should we ask people to add their info, scrape it from the forum, send info to an unpaid volunteer admin 👎 , something else?

Obviously the downside to scraping is:

1. It would have to be scraped - additional, fragile code.
2. It would be involuntary AND if you wanted it on the map, you must add it to your forum profile.

So then I think maybe allowing people to add it themselves, which means some database, CRUD activity?

Or something else like posting in the forum, "Hey everyone, here's a Google Spreadsheet. Add your name and location if you want on the map!"
