Is the traffic router plugin a alpha feature as mentioned in the documentation, or the plugin implementations like Gateway API are alpha?

We want to write a plugin for cilium cluster mesh to enable canary deployments.

It seems that Gateway API already works with Cilium https://github.com/argoproj-labs/rollouts-plugin-trafficrouter-gatewayapi/tree/main/examples/cilium

But if you want to write a plugin yourself, then of course you can do that as well.
