What change needs making?
Feature Request: I want to do argo rollouts for consumer based application like operator. Operator reads certain manages the lifecycle of Custom Resources. Now as this is not HTTP based service. I want to create mutual exclusion between them based on some hash. I will be able to this if I have traffic percentage information on both the pods.
I can write a code which reads the status of argo rollout but I think it will more sense if argo rollout provide this feature as ephemeral metadata.

When would you use this?
To support consumer based application.
