I have stood up three servers in North America under anygenre1 and anygenre2 called Rick's Raw Audio for anyone that wants to test. |

You can listen to a stream from a raw audio enabled server to get an idea of how it sounds @ Andre's UK Sound (if somebody is online and is using a raw audio enabled client) |

I wished and wished for pcm and saw your note over the weekend :-) Nice work Nils, this is huge. Excellent work! I have a server deployed to jam on with friends and looking at one out in public. With this, have you given any thought into enabling to run a server in uncompressed 'max' mode only? It would be nice to have this ability so we really know everyone on a session is using raw. |

I've updated https://jamulusjams.com to highlight active enabled servers to make it easier for players to locate one. |

I tested the available macOS Apple Silicon build and noticed that Jamulus crashes with a memory allocation error when closing the app. Not always, but very often. Trace

@dingodoppelt I just had a friend install the latest jamulus-headless deb and I'm seeing a different version string than what Andre's US and my servers show:
Big Scott's Rock Bar has the deb installed, whereas mine and presumably Andre's US were compiled locally. |

There are now 24 servers around the world supporting raw/uncompressed audio online on the public server lists. Thanks so much for your interest and testing ❤️ |

What does a MacOS user have to do to get a test client working ? |

One of my users says that the change to "Max" quality doesn't happen immediately, but they need to leave the server and then connect again for it "Max" to kick in. |

While you are discussing things that go way beyond my comprehension I have a question: is there any relation between the 3.11.1dev (etc) version and the newly released 3.12? In other words: can I ignore the 3.11.1 version in favor of 3.12? Or will I then be missing out on the newly improved audio features? Thanks! |

I just compared the two versions. It looks like the 3.11.1dev gives me a lot of jitter. Both on PCM audio enabled servers and 'regular' ones. Also on quitting 3.11.1 I also get a crash message on my Macintosh. |

My chamber music group ran raw audio for about 1.5 hours Saturday with no particular problems. |

Hi there!
I opened a PR #3653 with a simple implementation of uncompressed audio in Jamulus.
I haven't tested it very much, except with a single user on a server.I tested it in a session with mixed clients on a rawaudio server. I was using rawaudio while the other clients were on the official releases. Everything worked as expected and it is still possible to switch between audio quality settings without issues.
The client is backwards compatible.
in a sense that you can connect to stock servers, but do not use this setting on an Opus-only server or it will hurt your ears. There is no issue connecting stock clients to rawaudio servers. This is just a proof-of-concept but works as far as I can tell. Looking forward to some feedback.
cheers, nils
P.S.:
You can download the most recent experimental builds from the actions section of this repo:
