Hi, does the prefetch function actually work or is the configuration option a dead option? I do not see any difference with large datasets.

Yes, Did seen the same issue.

Check your browser dev console network, you probably see the same amount of requests when option is switched on or of.

Thanks Andries. I do not have to look into the console because I have trees with 1.000-s nodes and it kills the browser. Just a few nodes works fine. I will check your fix.

@Andries-Smit I found your fix in your personal repository, added it manually to my version of the widget and it works great. One drawback is that the "collapse arrow" initially is always shown because the widget does not know if there are children yet.
