  • I included enough detail to reproduce or investigate the problem.

Area

apps/desktop

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install the T3 Code app in a new machine WITHOUT t3 connect previously installed
  2. Click on Settings -> Connections and click on the "use t3 connect" link provided on the bottom of the left navbar
  3. Authenticate with Github
  4. Auth works, modal closes, T3 Code looks the same
  5. Go back to Settings -> Connections -> everything looks the same, button is still there, authentication worked but nothing happened

Expected behavior

  1. Install the T3 Code app in a new machine WITHOUT t3 connect previously installed
  2. Click on Settings -> Connections and click on the "use t3 connect" link provided on the bottom of the left navbar
  3. Authenticate with Github
  4. Works

Actual behavior

Got stuck in a loop of: authenticate with github on t3 connect inside t3 code -> auth ok -> go back to t3 code, connections still asking to login -> login -> ok -> still asking to login.

closing the app also didn't fix

Impact

Minor bug or occasional failure

Version or commit

Latest build from website

Environment

macOS Tahoe 26.6.2

Workaround

I tried installing t3 connect from the terminal (which I didn't previously had in my machine), then I tried this flow again and it worked, so my assumption is that it tried to use the tool, but silently failed when it didn't find it
