Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a personal milestone: I’ve just migrated my 20-year-old website, ispanyol.net, from a legacy WordPress setup to a modern Next.js architecture deployed on Vercel.
The Goal: The old structure was suffering from performance issues and technical debt. I decided to wipe the slate clean and build a "digital masterpiece" focused on:
Zero Bloat: No heavy libraries, just clean code.
Artistic Minimalism: A design centered on typography and negative space.
Raw Performance: Utilizing the Next.js App Router for instant navigation.
It was a challenging journey to migrate years of content, but the performance jump is incredible. It’s not just a portfolio anymore; it’s a playground where I test the limits of simplicity and speed.
I would really appreciate your feedback on the load times and the overall UX feel compared to traditional sites.
