Troubles in the editor

I am trying this text editor with regular odt files.
That seemed to be promising, but sadly resulting pages are really broken.
I tried several odt's and they all look wrong: images are not displayed, layout looks terrible, some texts in narrow columns, large empty spaces, ...
When the same odt's are open in OpenOffice or LibreOffice (version 7, 64bits) writer, they are all fine.

I saw last update was done in 2015, does that mean this project is abandonned ?
Too bad, we were searching for an editor capable of letting our users view/edit odt documents.

@Thierry58 Were you able to fix the issues or find alternatives which fulfilled your objectives? Could you please give an update?
