I'm not sure what, I just updated my fork of webui (was behind 63 commits since last time) and now I almost immediately get:

"Error: Connection with the backend is lost - WebUI 2.5.0-beta.4"

Although the web pages are served as before.

So that could be indicating a websocket problem?

Has something changed breaking earlier behavior?

Got it, I will work on this issue on Linux using Racket soon.

In windows it still working fine using nightly build.

I don't know what's happening. I've started on a new FFI implementation.

It's in an early development stage.

There's a test function. When I run it it seems like strange things happen. Don't know exactly what. The debug logging of webui doesn't show.

In release mode.

When I run it with a 'release' version of the webui dll, without a custom file handler this happens:

However, when I enable the internal file handler, this happens:

The window appears, but it has to wait about 15 seconds until some HTML is served. The files are requested only after these 15 seconds, and are served fast. So it looks like somewhere in de webui library something is stalling..

Now in debug mode:

By the way, the firefox window reports following in between. I just retry everytime:

Seems to do a little better, i.e. the window won't give up on waiting.

I just finished updating the whole Racket-WebUI project, now it's working very well in Windows and Linux.

It does not bind all function though? E.g.:

• webui_set_close_handler(myWindow, myCloseEvent);
• webui_set_file_handler(myWindow, myHandlerFunction);
• webui_set_file_handler_window(myWindow, myHandlerFunction);

?

But those could be implemented with a similar mechanism as the bind mechanism I presume.

Hmm. I've tried to copy parts of your code into my solution, but I keep having the same problems.
Maybe you could try my racket code? See earlier git repo reference.
