Fossify Contacts is losing new contacts

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Creating a new contact
2. Trying to access the contact again the next day.
3. The contact regularly disappears.

Expected behavior

New contacts should be saved permanently. It should be possible to choose where they are saved.

Actual behavior

New contacts are only retained on the current day; by the next day, they have mysteriously disappeared. I don’t know how long this has been going on or how many contacts I’ve already lost. Furthermore, it is no longer possible to select a storage location for new contacts, and this option is no longer displayed for existing contacts.

I have attached a screenshot for a new contact. As you can see, it is no longer possible to select the storage location. In the 'Edit visible contact fields' settings, it cannot be selected as an option.

Also encountered this issue. Very distressing, even with backups. Started happening in the last 2 days. Android 15.

It’s very easy to test this bug: simply enter a test address. You can access this address on the same day – fine. Then check the next day: in my case, the contact has always disappeared. At the moment, there’s no point in adding new contacts.

It would be great if other users could give this a go too. Thanks in advance! :-)

Hi That is what I tested and my contacts keep disappearing too. The developer hasn't e-mailed me back
