Remove the heading that repeats the title of data.qmd - #511
The page title "Types of Variables" is the level 1 heading, so ## Types of variables as the first section repeated it.
The heading had no id, so nothing links to it; it is removed and the intro text now sits under the title.
Rendered data.qmd to HTML: the title is the only level 1 heading and the sections follow it.
Thread: Fix heading levels in split-out pages (project thread). Related check: Morrison-Lab/gha#1373.
I fetched PR 511 live just now. It is open and unmerged, and its head is 9d7e363e4555777d67c310e332dc05b0361ba047, the commit I reviewed.
I reviewed the one new commit since the last round, 9d7e363 ("Update the slidebreak comment for the removed heading"). It changes data.qmd:21 from "the heading shares its slide…" to "the intro text shares its slide…". This fixes the stale comment I raised last round. The new wording matches the page, because the intro prose now sits directly above the def-numerical-var include. I found no new issues.
My earlier non-blocking notes still apply:
The removed heading's auto-generated #types-of-variables anchor is gone. I found no internal links to it, but I can't check links from other sites.
The slide deck now starts with the intro prose instead of a section slide.
I did not run a render. The diff has no math or R code, so I skipped the macro check.
The prior review is at #511 (comment). Its verdict was Ready for merge, and it still stands.
Verdict
Ready for merge.
This is an automated, non-interactive review-only run whose output a harness posts. I made no changes, so there is nothing to commit, push or open as a PR. The stopping-point statement is therefore not applicable, and I did not run UMS.

Cross-harness review (Gemini 3.8 Flash (Medium) via Antigravity agy 1.3.5, standing in while Argon quota is exhausted, read-only plan mode) at 9d7e363
I gave the model the full diff (one file, one removed heading and one reworded comment) and these facts, which I checked in the file at this head: the remaining headings in data.qmd are ## Coding a categorical variable with numbers {#sec-dummy-coding}, ## Taxonomy of variable types, ## Variables in the WCGS dataset, ## Random variables (with ### Binary variables and ### Count variables under it) and ## References, so no level is skipped; and a code search of the organisation finds no reference to the auto-generated anchor types-of-variables that the removed heading carried.
The model reported that the removal is correct, that nothing depends on the heading (no id, no cross-reference, no slide dependency), and that the reworded comment ("the intro text shares its slide with the def-numerical-var div") is accurate; it found nothing.
Nothing was rendered, so I did not see the slide deck.
