CommandLine can't execute commands in PowerShell #49
Seems like CommandLine on Windows always use cmd.exe, even on Windows 10 platforms.
However, on these platforms, PowerShell provides longer command(line, which is very useful for projects running java commands with full CLASSPATH in (take a look, as an example, to On Windows, command line may be too long)
Closing as stale, and because the project is heading the other way.
There has been no follow-up from the reporter since 2018, and the direction agreed on #110 is to stop wrapping commands in a shell at all rather than to add PowerShell alongside cmd.exe — see michael-o in #110 (comment). Adding a third shell would move against that.
Callers that need PowerShell can set it as the executable and pass the command as arguments. If that turns out not to work on a current release, please open a fresh issue with a reproducer.

The entire concept is illdesigned by invoking a shell instead of the processes directly. This needs to be changed as a whole.

Is this fixed by native PowerShell wrapper scripts apache/maven#12541?
