ci(e2e): stop installing python3.12-venv, which Ubuntu 26.04 lacks - #603

Conversation
GitHub moved the ubuntu-latest label to Ubuntu 26.04, whose system Python is 3.14 and whose archive has no python3.12-venv. The apt step failed with "Unable to locate package python3.12-venv" in every E2E shard. The package was never needed: every venv in the job is created by the python3 that actions/setup-python puts first on PATH, and that build ships its own ensurepip. On 24.04 the package came preinstalled, so the line was a no-op there.

Problem
E2E has failed on
mainsince #602, in all five shards, before any test runs:#602 didn't cause it: it only touched
build/venv-test-ipywidgets8-requirements.txt, which nothing in the repo reads. The cause is the runner image. GitHub is movingubuntu-latestto Ubuntu 26.04 (actions/runner-images#14748, rollout Oct 19 – Nov 19). Our last green E2E run (41797583713) ran onubuntu-24.04; the first red one (41922220528) ran onubuntu-26.04. Ubuntu 26.04's system Python is 3.14, so its archive has nopython3.12-venv.Fix
Stay on
ubuntu-latestand droppython3.12-venvfrom the apt install. The job never needed it:test/e2e/helpers/venv.ts, the interpreter suite) is created by barepython3. That resolves to the 3.12 thatactions/setup-pythonputs first onPATH, and that build includesensurepip.python3.12-venv is already the newest versionin the green log), so the line never changed anything there. The interpreter suite's prerequisites comment pointed at the package, so its CI note is removed.
Verification
ubuntu:26.04container, using the runner'sactions/python-versions3.12.15 build installed the waysetup-pythoninstalls it:python3 -m venvworks with no*-venvpackage, and the new apt list installs cleanly.Summary by CodeRabbit
