Reviewed: merge — security.

Axis 1 — supply-chain: Both 3.1.53 and 3.1.54 are tagged Security releases upstream; 3.1.54 hardens unsafe Git option validation (gitpython-developers/GitPython#2180), and 3.1.53 fixes config-section delimiter validation and core.hooksPath handling. gitpython is a direct runtime dependency (pyproject.toml:43, gitpython>=3.1.50) and CodeFRAME drives git constantly (worktree isolation, patch export, PR flow), so these code paths are live for us. Long-standing package, stable maintainer (Byron), normal cadence — cooldown satisfied and waived on the security grounds anyway.

Axis 2 — compatibility: Patch-level bump inside 3.1.x, lockfile-only diff (uv.lock +3/-3). All checks green including claude-review — Code Quality, Backend Unit Tests, Frontend Unit, E2E Browser Smoke, GitGuardian, Test Summary. Backend tests are exactly the suite that exercises gitpython.

Note: 3.1.57 is now latest — Dependabot opened this at the minimum patched version. 3.1.54 clears the advisories; a follow-up bump can catch the rest.

Both axes pass. Merging.
