+ProtonMail Launcher is a Firefox browser extension [private] authored that opens ProtonMail from the toolbar, switching to an existing ProtonMail tab if one is already open. The original source (including background.js, manifest.json, README.md and the MIT LICENSE file) is at https://github.com/PyroDonkey/ProtonMail-Launcher, first published 2024-06-20. The infringing repository at https://github.com/devvyyxyz/ProtonMailLauncher (created 2025-06-07) copies [private] source code verbatim, including the same background.js code with identical comments, the identical console error string, the identical install notification text, and the manifest reuses [private] exact extension description. [private] work is licensed under the MIT License, which permits reuse only if the original copyright notice and license text are retained. The infringing repository removed [private] copyright notice: it replaced "Copyright (c) 2024 PyroDonkey" in the LICENSE file with "Copyright (c) 2025 DevvyyXYZ" while keeping the rest of [private] MIT license text, thereby stripping the required attribution and claiming the work as their own.
