[Bug] Multiple Img tags inside a p tag no longer in same line #2045

I found a workaround, but would still want an explanation:
Original images are huge so I hardcoded their height and width. when I only set the height or width it works. see:Code:

Note: this issue wasn't present until recently.
The workaround no longer works. Check your github profile in incognito, the issue returned

Noticed this when checking my profile readme.md, used to stack the icons of technologies used in one line and it wraps, now each icon img tag is on a single line.
