What changed

  • starfleet invite create --email <addr> [--expiration <hours>]
sends CreateInvite when the active credential is a browser sign-in
(conn.ResolveCredentials reports a session), and prints the invite
with invite list's columns. The table omits token and
accept_url, as get and list already do; -o json/yaml carry
the full body. --debug now redacts accept_url as well as token.
  • An API client still exits 5 before any request. Under the env pair
the message says to unset it; otherwise it gives the profile's
auth login line and the Team page. --email is now required; a
    blank value exits 2.
  • invite accept is unchanged.
  • Help, llms pages, the starfleet skill, team-onboarding, the error
catalog and the changelog updated; reference regenerated.

How it was measured

A browser sign-in on a dev tenant got 200 and an Invite body from
POST /account/v1/invites; the invite was then deleted. Tests use
httptest stubs that count every request, the token exchange included:
a session sends one POST with the expected JSON body and the table
carries no token; --debug stderr carries neither the token nor the
accept URL; flag, env-pair and saved-profile API clients send zero
requests and exit 5; blank --email exits 2 with zero requests; a 400
exits 1.

Mutations, each compiled and reverted: disabling the API-client guard
failed the refusal cases; adding the token to the table row failed the
token-omission case; removing accept_url from the redaction list
failed the --debug case.

Gates

go build -gcflags=-e ./..., go vet ./..., make lint,
make docs-check, make lint-docs and make test pass. Coverage is
90.1% against the 90.0% gate.

Risks

  • conn.loginCommand is exported as LoginCommand.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Create team invitations from the CLI when signed in through a browser. The default table omits invite tokens and acceptance links; JSON and YAML output include them.
    • API-client credentials cannot create invitations through the CLI; use the Starfleet UI instead. Environment credentials override profiles and must be unset to use browser sign-in.
    • Invitation acceptance is not available through the CLI; invitees can accept through the invitation link or Starfleet UI.
  • Documentation

    • Updated invite guidance and command references to explain creation requirements, output formats, and acceptance options.

invite create now sends CreateInvite when the profile is a browser
sign-in and prints the new invite with list's columns. The table
omits token and accept_url; -o json and -o yaml carry the full body.

An API client, including the env pair, still exits 5 before any
request. invite accept is unchanged: the public spec has no accept
operation.

Walkthrough

The CLI now creates team invites when credentials resolve to a browser session. It rejects API-client credentials before sending a request. Invite acceptance remains unavailable through the CLI.

An invite response without usable invite data can appear successful. This is a bounded edge case, but the missing-result behavior should be corrected or explicitly accepted.

Explanation

The title "feat: invite create with a browser sign-in" matches the main change. The PR adds starfleet invite create --email for browser-session users. It also rejects API-client credentials with exit 5 before any request. The title names the feature and its sign-in requirement. It does not cover the table omission, the redaction of accept_url, or the docs updates, which is expected for a short title.

Explanation

Docstring coverage is 100.00% which is sufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Minor · Data Integrity & Integration · Quick win

Do not report success without an invite result.

If the server returns a 2xx response without a parsed JSON200 invite, this branch prints “No invite data returned” and exits 0. A caller then cannot distinguish a complete result from a write whose result is unavailable. Return an error for the missing create result in both table and structured output. Comment thread internal/starfleet/llms.txt Resolved
--debug now redacts an invite's accept_url, which embeds its token.
An invite create refused under the env pair says to unset it; any
other API client gets the profile's auth login line. The local
--expiration minimum is gone: the spec sets none.

Tests count the token exchange, cover a saved API-client profile, and
drive invite create's transport error under a session.

Assert the browser-session bearer token.

The create handler records the request but never checks Authorization. The session cases can pass when the caller omits the header or sends the wrong token. Capture the token returned by SeedSession and compare the create request with Bearer plus that token, as TestInviteListSendsBearerToken does.
