My name is wajd , and I am a Computer Science graduate and iOS application developer based in Saudi Arabia. I am developing an Arabic iOS application called “ONS - أنس” focused on providing trusted Quran and Sunnah reminders.

Your purpose in using this API:
I would like to use the Sunnah.com API as a trusted source of hadith data for ONS - أنس. The application presents practical Sunnahs that users can incorporate into their daily lives. Hadith text, references, and available grading information will be used to support each Sunnah and its source. The API will be accessed through our backend rather than directly from the iOS application.
API rate limits:
Maximum requests per second: 2
Maximum requests per day: 1,000
Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
Programmatic API access is preferred. We plan to retrieve selected hadiths for a curated collection of practical Sunnahs rather than downloading the entire hadith corpus. We will also cache the required data on our backend to minimize unnecessary API requests.
What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?
Arabic primarily. English would also be useful when available.
What programming language will your API client be in?
TypeScript, running in a Supabase Edge Function. The iOS application itself is written in Swift.
